PORSHA ARI PARSON
Founder & Senior Publicist
Porsha Ari Parson is the owner of western New York marketing and public relations agency, Ari Parson. She leads the agency with over a decade of professional communications experience. She began her career as a copywriter for numerous companies in western New York, eventually transitioning to radio promotions. Then, with a background in broadcast journalism, Porsha worked as a news reporter for Buffalo, New York’s NPR station WBFO. By sharing news stories and helping organizations implement effective communication strategies, Porsha earned a reputation as a connector, bridging the gap between consumers and brands. Not long after, she joined Townsquare Media for a career in marketing and as a voiceover talent, where she worked with several companies in the entertainment, medical, and education industries. After realizing she had a gift, Porsha combined her creativity with her marketing, news writing, and storytelling experience to begin a part-time public relations consultant career. Within three years, she resigned from her corporate job and pursued a full-time career with Ari Parson. Today, her company services clients across the U.S.
Porsha attended Buffalo State College for her undergraduate and graduate studies. A devoted member of her community, she has served as a member of the Buffalo Association of Black Journalists and the Buffalo State College Young Alumni Association. She is the 2022 grand prize winner of the M &T Bank Multicultural Small Business Lab Pitch Competition and is a 2014 Capital Change 30 Under 30 Award recipient. Porsha was a featured publicist in Essence Magazine and featured as a Buffalo Niagara 360 Spotlight Professional. In addition, she is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. In her free time, Porsha enjoys traveling and spending time with her beloved family and friends.
